Embrace the Light: A Journey Through Meditation and Dreamwork

As the light of higher consciousness begins to dawn within us, it illuminates every corner of our being, revealing layers of thoughts, emotions, and energies that no longer serve us. This profound cleansing is essential for fully embodying our higher Self and the Christ consciousness—cosmic unconditional love. My own path has been one of striving to transform my body into light, much like the Tibetan Buddhist tradition of the Rainbow Lightbody. It’s a journey filled with sparkles, but it’s also deeply humbling.

My journey has taken me through years of training and teaching in monastic settings, where I studied ancient Sanskrit scriptures and was personally guided by saints in the Vedic and Buddhist traditions. Ashrams in India were my home for many years, providing the sacred space needed to dive deep into these transformative practices.

When I began meditating over 30 years ago, my first teacher shared a wisdom that has stayed with me: as we sit in meditation, the mud of dormant thought patterns rises to the surface, ready to be purified. The more clear water we pour into a glass filled with mud, the more the mud comes up to be washed away. The path of meditation is like this—slowly, steadily, we cleanse our inner world, revealing the pure light within.

Many teachers speak of the sparkles, the blissful moments of connection with the divine, and I too understand the allure of that light. Yet, I have never forgotten the years spent clearing family and cultural karma. I found that the journey doesn’t have to be all struggle; it can also be filled with joy. Dance, art, and dream study are all ways to clear the past while embracing the present with a peaceful heart.

In today’s world, practices that were once considered fringe—yoga, meditation, alternative diets—are now celebrated and embraced. Back in the eighties, yoga was a hidden gem, meditation whispered about in secret. Psychology viewed meditation with suspicion. Now, research shows the positive effects of meditation on the brain, extending not only our lives but enhancing the quality of each moment.
